About Kosmos
With Kosmos, the SPC multi-cloud Kubernetes management platform, you can create and manage Kubernetes clusters from GCP, Azure, SPC, and AWS environments.
Breaking down cloud silos
Traditional single-cloud platforms lock you into cloud-specific tools, creating operational silos. Kosmos breaks these silos by enabling unified deployment and management across multiple clouds, all controlled through a single, centralized platform for management, configuration, and signaling.
From the Kosmos dashboard, you can manage your Kubernetes clusters from GCP, Azure, SPC, and AWS environments, making it easier to scale and operate your infrastructure.
Kosmos shares similarities with Google Anthos and utilizes elements from Loft ’s vCluster technology, making it a powerful and flexible platform for Kubernetes management.
Key benefits of using Kosmos
Managed Kubernetes service
Kosmos is managed service, so SPC handles the complexities of running Kubernetes for you. Key features include:
Cluster upgrades: Kosmos provides you the ability to keep your clusters always up-to-date with the latest stable releases and patches.
Node management: Kosmos provides centralized way to manage and upgrade nodegroup/nodepool versions for your managed K8s.
- You can manage the nodegroup/nodepool configuration like
- create/update/delete nodepool/nodegroup
- upgrade version of nodepool/nodegroup
- You can manage the nodegroup/nodepool configuration like
Attach the generic cluster
- You can attach the generic cluster. In the case, when the node management is not available because “generic” cluster is not a managed cluster. This is based on assumption that there is no available API for the cluster/node management.
Autoscaling: Both cluster autoscaling (scaling node count) and horizontal pod autoscaling (scaling pods based on CPU or custom metrics) are supported.
Efficient operations
- Centralized management: Kosmos provides an intuitive dashboard for managing clusters, resources, and applications.
- Integrated logging, monitoring, and tracing for Kosmos workloads, giving you full visibility into application performance and enabling you to quickly troubleshoot issues.
Flexibility and customization
- Multi-cluster management with Fleets: Group and manage clusters across different environments and regions.
- Multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud support: Manage Kubernetes clusters across various cloud providers (multi-cloud) or in on-premises environments (hybrid cloud).
